You know you are Filipino if
When I was in Iloilo a couple of weeks ago, we all went to a very nice restaurant that seemed to cater for most nationalities at a very affordable price. While sitting and waiting for the food we all started to read the place mats and independently we all began to laugh.
My Filipino friends said that they recognized a lot of themselves in the observations written on the place mats, and myself and the my British friend admitted that we could see the traits too!!
Even after asking the waiters we could not find the name of the author of the work , but whoever it was has a good sense of humor and observation.
Steve with the BBC voice reads it out now on the podcast link below. ENJOY!!

I think it was written by Rex Navarete. What do you think?
Hi John, those are clichés. Every Filipino can claim authorship on that. It’s been passed from one email to another since what..since there has been cyberspace. At least, through those list you get to know idiosyncracies of pinoys. Yes, we do that,we use our lips when we point at something or someone whose name we cannot mention.
Hi John, Thanks for the column. I finally heard how to pronounce Iloilo! Interesting column and the list good. Type the title of your column into a Google search – there are many more comments out there on the web.

Try to watch coronation street, eastender and little britain which is how the majority of them speak. It might help dispel your notion of the English accent
