Now that Christmas is over, I feel that school is tomorrow. Like we only have a few hours to do the things we want, to be free. It has been one of the most memorable Christmases yet, but somehow it just gets ruined by the approach of school.
With a lot of the subjects promising to be harder, or “challenging” as teachers call it, it will be a roller coaster ride this quarter. An example of one of the subjects is Filipino, off course, the usual, you always hear me complaining about it, and sad to say, I will probably not be stopping any time soon, anyway, we are going to discuss a story called “Florante at Laura”, after reading the plot in Wikipedia, I think it’s a pretty interesting story. But unlike last year, I can’t read the book, because the story is, amazingly, not clear there, because, lat year it was “Ibong Adarna” a cool story about these brothers who travel around and have these cool experiences, but it was a fairy tale. I was even, in participation terms, the best student I think. While this year it’s like a jumble of letters to me. But after a small search, I might be able to answer a few of my teacher’s questions regarding the plot, I hope. Another subject that is potentially hard is Health, I guess you guys are saying “What? But it’s such a basic subject.”, well I know that, but since here it’s MAPEH (Music Art P.E. and Health) it’s our newest subject, so we don’t really know what to expect. Even I.T., which I found fun and exciting last quarter, is now a little challenging, the topic, if you ask, is Micromedia Flash, I don’t even know anything about it. One big advantage this quarter is, barely any projects, only finals, so I better study harder, or if let me rephrase it, start studying. Just joking, I have studied before… Maybe. After all this time at school, I thought I might get used to it, but since every year gives me a different experience, I guess it just keeps changing.
With all these changes to the schedule, I really am confused with what to do, sometimes losing track of time in the process.Yet after a lot of thinking, if I just think of the subjects themselves, their getting really boring, it actually started when P.E. was swapped with music, the most boring class so far. Even though it’s already out of our schedule, I still remember how boring it is ti just sit in class, listening to a discussion on Philippine music. I was only able to soak up some details, maybe just enough to pass. On the bright side, with the 4th quarter also comes summer. The most amazing time of year, second only to Christmas. After the triumphs and hard ships of this school year I’m really looking forward to the end of this school year. So it is, for me so close yet so far.
