Off to SM Lanang!!!

Hey guys! As some of you may know, Davao has a new mall, SM Premier Lanang. It’s probably one of the best malls in Davao now. It’s got a lot of new things that makes it way better than other malls (like the IMAX theater). But most of the stores aren’t open yet, so we have to wait for those…

So today (Oct. 14), my Dad took me, my Mom, my Aunt, and my Cousin to SM Lanang. Me and my cousin actually really wanted to go since it was his last day here (for now :) ), and we wanted to look around, check out the stores, and what not. So we went. It wasn’t really a long ride, compared to what people say (some say hours on the jeep), and when we got there, my Dad, Mom, and Aunt went to the grocery, leaving us to roam around.

The first place we went to was CDR-King (yeah, you might be wondering why I went there first instead of some other place) to buy a USB sound card for my computer, since my on-board audio doesn’t work (my drivers aren’t working, and since it’s an old manufacturer that went out of business years ago, my chances of finding drivers were like finding a needle in a haystack).  Luckily they a few in stock, since the other CDR-Kings didn’t have any in stock. and once we got that, we went to the other stores, like a few computer stores, game stores, and a few others.

We also visited the IMAX theater, which was cool, but it was closed, so we just got a few pictures of us at the door. After that, we went around a bit, then went to the basement, where we found a music shop, which had some EPIC guitars (some of you may know that I am a rocker and a drummer, so I like to go to these places) they were Gibsons (1 even looked like Billie Joe Armstrong’s guitar, minus the skull, from my favorite band, Green Day), but were not cheap. They also had a few amps, some speakers, some mixers, a drum set, and parts for guitars.

Then we got a bit lost, we didn’t go to the place we went down from, we went down the hall, where the salons were, so we went a bit further, and found the underground parking lot, and ahead of us was a door going into the mall, so went through, found an escalator, and we were now in the department store (I think).  We looked for an exit, and we instantly knew where we were thanks to an Audi car we saw from upstairs, so now we went back to my Mom and Dad, just in time, because they were about to checkout. And while we went to the car to load the groceries, my parents and Aunt went to get some shakes. And after that was the trip home.

SM Lanang is definitely one of the best malls in Davao, even though most store’s aren’t open. It’s design is really cool, not like most malls here, which feel closed in, and tight, it felt more loose, and bigger than some malls.

So that is basically our trip to SM Lanang.

    Hi AJ,
    Glad you enjoyed your trip.
A much needed new Mall in that end of town as Victoria Plaza is a bit dated now. I’m sure all the stores will be in full flow by the time i get back there.
