In an early article I wrote on this site, I mentioned my fascination with maps and travel. I wrote about travel maps and the “place a pin” where you have visited.
There wasn’t one for the Philippines, until I recently found this site, Lakbayan.com, that lets you make your own travel map. What is kind of neat is that it includes every province in the Philippines. Pay a visit, and make your own. I added mine below, for comparison (As you can see, I haven’t done too much domestic travel here). What’s your score?
Here’s mine:
My Lakbayan grade is C-!

If you want to make your own worldwide map, Trip Advisor has a good one… Again, here’s mine.

The websie you have listed is incorrect here is the correct one http://forge.codedgraphic.com/lakbayan/
The website that you gave, Nathan, is the exact same URL that John gave.
Actually Bob, Nathan is right. Lakbayan.com is a parked domain. http://codedgraphic.com/lakbayan is correct.
Oops…. http://forge.codedgraphic.com/lakbayan.com
Oops, Oops – I should have not logged on today!

It’s ok we are all human I got a c- guess i need to travel more next time im there
Yes, Nathan is right… but that is the same link that John has in the article… both of them are right, so I don’t understand why Nathan is saying that John made a mistake. ????
There wasn’t one for the Philippines, until I recently found this site, Lakbayan.com thats why im saying from the artical its self. Lakbayan.com is a parked site as randy said
Ok…. It’s working now?
John, yes the link IS correct. The error in question is “Lakbayan.com” as published in the text of your article. That specific domain is parked.
Whew, I feel much about my computer skills today!
Here is my score:
My Lakbayan grade is B-!

Bob… Gotta come with us to abulug someday and increase your score!
Ha ha… we need to reciprocate, and we’d both improve our scores, John!
Now everyone can see why you are “Mindanao Bob”….you have left nothing in Mindanao uncovered! haha
Nearly nothing.. I have not been to Camiguin Island, nor have I been to Sulu.
John, Bob and all I click the link and yikes…..my grade is a dismal C.. ha ha. Now if there is similar one where I can just tick all the places I’ve been in Manila… hmm a+ perhaps he he he. Cool stuff, john.
Well, I’m nothing but a pathetic ‘D’. Maybe because I was always content on where I was. Why travel when you have everything you need? I got a lot of work to do!
I suppose I come from the Michael Palin school of travel.I love to travel with old guide books and maps I also have a keen intrest in history and to compare then and now is a great joy for me..On the Philippines I highly recumend getting a copy of Molls map of the Philippnes. From the Spanish era its a real eye opener on how time has changed the importance of several cities and provinces and just how many forts and watch towers remain undescovered
I got an F; heavily weighted on Samar, Leyte and Cebu with a smattering of Metro Manila and Baguio, lol.
I guess I need to get out more
