Well it has been a long time since I last wrote an article. Almost as long as the last time I got online to check comments from you, our readers. I apologize for not responding to any comments, but I have been busy running around getting moved in. I probably should have taken some time off writing to catch up on my tasks but I didn’t think it would take so long to get adjusted. We still have most of our things in boxes, except for some of my wife’s clothing, as that would simply be too much to bear not having a HUGE variety of clothing to wear each day. I did have to get into some boxes for more underwear as I bath 2 or 3 times each day to ensure I don’t offend anyone, including myself. <Joke>
We’re moved into the house, but we’ve got work to do before we are settled in. I am having cabinets made for the kitchen and additional shelves and storage made for our things as we like to have them put away, yet still accessible. And we have TOO MUCH stuff. Yes, I will admit I packed too much. But, better safe than sorry. We don’t have any idea what to do with all of our house decorations. The house we rented is much smaller than we used to have, and we also don’t have much for displaying items we have, so much still remains in boxes. We will bring it out in time, as we obtain additional shelves or cabinets for displaying things.
Our contractor is supposed to come tomorrow to build the cabinets and shelves for the kitchen, which is a large part of our boxes. Pots, pans, and al things baking. Which is funny because we don’t have an oven. Our neighbors have a baking oven though, so I might be able to do some baking still. Though I will probably need to give some baked goods as payment. Not an issue for me.
There are too many things to mention to do still so I will save you the trouble by saying I will probably be doing things until the sun doesn’t shine. I just hope the house we are renting stays available until we have come to our decision on whether we will stay or not. The owner moved to his farm with his family, so he doesn’t need it for a while I’m sure. One thing I should have considered is the professions of my neighbors when decided one where we would live. I already knew that many people had businesses out of their homes, but I didn’t consider that some had welding shops with grinders and hammers going first thing in the morning. WAY before I would normally be awake. It’s ok though, I simply adjusted my sleep time to one that is more inline with a normal person. So, when the grinders start at 0700 I’ve already had a decent night of sleep. I almost, I say ALMOST pray for a power outage so the grinders can’t start. Please note, I say ALMOST. 🙂 I need it for Aircon.
Another neighbor has a pig business, so motorcycles/tricycles come early in the morning to pickup pigs for delivery and the squealing of the big ones that don’t want to leave to become food that day can be pretty loud. Otherwise, the neighborhood is quiet and I feel safe here.
So, what’s on the slate for the upcoming articles? You’ll have to check next week to find out.
Until then, paalam, ingat, and God bless.
