Dear Feyma,
I have been in the USA since 1990, working first as an RN, now I am already an adult Nurse Practitioner with high paying job.
I want to move back to Cebu (where I grew Up) however, my husband who is also an American does not like the idea. He does not like to be catered to or not do anything for himself.
Frankly, we are ready to retire, though, we are still young (in our 50’s). The only problem is we have diferent views. How can I convince my husband to retire with me in Cebu. Separation nor divorce is not an option because we love each other to death. Pls. help. Thanks and regards. MTL

Hi Marissa Langseth - Well your time being in the States is almost the time with as me. I will encourage your husband to read our web magazine so that he will learn more and know more about the way of life and the lifestyle here. Hopefully hearing from a lot of expats who retire and stay here maybe he will be entice by them and get envious by them.
Why don’t you and your husband visit Davao sometimes maybe he might be more into it because its not that congested and more cleaner than Cebu.We also have lots of good restaurants that cater to foreigners and good imported products.
