Making a Change
Today’s Guest Column is from Kevin Smith.
I have had time to think and reflect on my effort here at LIP and other things during the last few weeks. I have decided to move on because, for me, it’s hard to write about living in the Philippines when one doesn’t live there. It would be more appropriate to fill in as a guest writer as I have ideas on how to transition to the Philippines for the purpose of retirement or semi-retirement. I have contacted Bob about this and he agrees.
My wife and I and our daughter will be coming to Davao and Digos this summer to visit the family and to build the charity. We will also schedule a trip to Cebu to check it out. I will continue to read and make comments so I can keep up with all the latest. Also, thank you Bob for giving me this opportunity to contribute. Because of him, I’m always thinking about merging business with the internet. Finally, I consider everyone here a good friend and I hope to meet you all this summer. Take care.

Hi Kevin, sorry, if I am the first to send a comment. i understand very well your decision. I am sure many people (including me will miss you and your write ups). I hope and pray to meet you personally, if you are in Davao City. All the best for you and your family…
Klaus,
Thanks, It would be great if we could get together in Davao this summer. We’ll be there for a few weeks before we go to Cebu.
Hi Kevin, sure, no probs…
Hi Kevin I hope things work out the way that you want. When you raised the money before Xmas for your charity, was it used to feed the children at Xmastime, if yes do you have any photos ? It would be uplifting to see them.
P.S. I am in Mindanao at this moment, I spent 4 days in Ozamiz am now in Cagayan and am visiting Davao later this week
Gerry,
Yes, we used all the money to feed 175 children. You can go to our web site to see the photos. (Just click on my name) Thanks
Hi Kevin.
We can still be good fellows as blogers even after you move on.
Please continue to write your article sometimes in the guest blog so that
I will not miss you…
Take care!
