White House of Samal Island
This is the White House of Samal Island. It is a landmark on the island, and known by all local residents there. The White House was built by General Hilario Moncado in the 1930’s. General Moncado ran for President of the Philippines in 1946. He was a delegate to the Philippine Constitutional Convention in 1934. Later, General Moncado started a religious cult called the Mongkadistas.
Feyma and I purchased land about 50 meters behind the White House and will be building our dream house there in a few years.

Congrats Bob. Do you have the lat/lon for it. Our land is located in Limao. Itis right on the water facing Davao City. We have a white sand beach of about 45 meters. Actually if you go to google the coordinates are 7 04 14.86N 125 40 20.27E I hope to start building by next May. I hope you also get a head start on your time table to enjoy the beauty of the places.
You know the status of this Davao-Samal bridge that is supposed to get built. Watch out Samal after that. Prices will go to the moon and beyond.
Hi Corey - I am not certain of the Lat/Long. We are also located in Barangay Limao, but on top of the hill overlooking Davao City.
Hi Jerry smith - I think you misunderstood me. I didn’t say we bought 50 meters of land, I said that we bought land about 50 meters away from the White House.
The land that we purchased is a total of about 1,000 square meters. We are considering building a two level, daylight basement style house (since it is on a hillside). I don’t want to post the price that we paid, but I will say that it was very reasonable.
