I have to admit, February was a challenging month for us students, first reason being, the final exams almost upon us (only like 1 or 2 weeks left) and the projects piled up on us (I guess that’s why they call it the month of love, because teachers just LOVE to give us projects) and finally the thought of summer being so close, yet so far. But after an excruciating month of deadline after deadline, we students get a chance at a little R ‘n R, that’s rest and relaxation. Mainly because most projects passed, 2 reporting sessions left (1 in Biology, the other Social Studies) and a simple yet complex I.T. micromedia flash movie left, and of course finals. It might seem a bit too much, but with Filipino out of the way, I am happier than ever (Although I will miss being up on stage, reporting and playing lead role for the group.).
The first thing I did to celebrate a little was go out to, guess where…..Gametek! I even saw a classmate, we played a few games of CoD: BO and on the first game, won (it was a 1 0n 1 game). Then came RockBand. And maybe this weekend, go back to playing for DEAF (that’s Davao Eagles American Football, you know my footbal team). I had to stop for a while because of mainly being a bit sick and the workload for school. So I hope it will be a nice day to play. Especially since we got our bikes all fixed up and ready to ride, and I even found a video on YouTube about how to make a bike light, which I did, and I also made a sort of brake light.
The only downside to our almost vacation spirit was that it didn’t last long, we were given like 2-3 more, but at least they were easy 1 day projects. We still do have 2 major projects, but 1 is sort-of complicated, a flash movie in I.T. and we can only do it at school, at least our teacher gives us 1 extra day to use the computer lab, and we can go every dismissal, so it’s going to be tight but manageable. the other is English, but it’s just a simple essay, and the only thing left is to print it. So I think the spirit of vacation still lives on in me, and to those students who believe they can pass, which after a very satisfactory Filipino report, I think will be the highest grades I get. And with finals the only obstacle before summer, it seems like the week will be a very fast one. Especially with me having fun with electronics, like the bike light I mentioned, I should have something to do with my extra time, me, my brother and my cousin were thinking about going somewhere we could take the bikes, like Samal, with it’s mountainous terrain, and long dirt roads, but, I hope my parents would let us. If not, then we’ll just find somewhere here in Davao for it.
