I survived my 65th Birthday

I survived my 65th Birthday

Well, its the morning of the 26th August 2016 and its my 65th Birthday! I have been looking forward to this day for a long time as now, I was woken up by the dogs who wanted to go outside so I also made my first call in the bathroom at the age of 65 at 4 pm! At my young age I am now qualified for my State Pension from the UK and also my SSS Pension from the Philippines as I have paid the full 120 months of contributions! Yes, I am already a registered Senior Citizen here so now I have reached 65 I must be a Total and Official Old Fart! Wow, I never thought this day would come buy it has and I intend to really enjoy the next 65 years of my life!

I will start my day after my breakfast with with a shave using my new can of Nivea Men Anti-Irritation Shaving Gel for an extra close shave with less irritation, p 265 from SM and to do the deed I will use a new Super Max Syrine 4 her, the worlds 1st 4 blade Disposable Razor for women. p 90 for 2 razors in SM! I recommend these razors as they are very good! My last one was good for 6 weeks shaving every day until I gave it to wife today, they are good! I had my hair cut by the wife the other day, saving p 40 if I had Gone to the Barbers Shop. Now, all I need is my shower and S–t and I am ready for what the day tries to bring to me!

In order for the evening celebration to be good I first took the Wife out to the Big Market to buy some Prawns, Fish,

chicken and other stuff! She does not like me going inside with her as she says that the prices

can increase if a white guy is there, Skin Tax I call it so I stayed in the car with Padi my dog!

We then went on to the KCC Mall where we usually buy the meat as its very good quality in there! The vegetables are good also and the price is dropping now after the dry spell earlier this year when prices went through the roof! Chriselle, our daughter was in the KCC Mall as her school was having a debate and presentation of sports awards which she won 2 gold and 1 silver for swimming, well done to her! after we had paid for our goods at the checkout I phoned her and asked her to come and give us a lift with the goods back to the car! She arrived just a couple of minutes later with 6 of her classmates so going back to the car was easy!

Our last port of call was the post office the check our PO box, its number is 41 which shows how long we have had it,

28 years I think! I was happy as I was waiting for the confirmation of my British Pension and there it was, in my PO Box on my birthday! It took a week from being received in the Post Office to getting into my PO Box but I cannot complain as some letters have taken up to 6 weeks before getting to my PO Box!

When we got back home, I left the wife in the Kitchen to prepare the food for the evenings

event and I went to my man cave with the intention of doing things on the computer and fix a couple of things in the cave but an afternoon nap seemed to be a better idea so that’s what I did! When I awoke I took my shower then went and checked on the wife to see how things were and as usual there was food in all states of preparedness, I sampled a few things until she noticed me and ordered me out of the kitchen which was fine by me as I had had my snack! My friend from the Fish-port John dropped in some Tuna Jaw and Belly which is really good and so fresh as the actual fish it was taken from was still in the Philippines on its was to the USA.

I went back to my Man Cave and waited for the first guest to arrive which happened about 5 pm and that’s the time that the beer started to flow! they brought along with them some pork BBQ on sticks to eat with the beer, they were very good as usual!

Once more people started to arrive, we moved over to the main bar so the women could all go to the kitchen and us

men stayed at the bar and drank beer, brandy and whiskey. after a couple of hours, the feast arrived, as usual the food was good and far too much for us to eat so a lot was taken away in Dogie Bags by the ladies which I do not mind as I would be eating leftovers for the next week! We had a couple of hours drinking before eating as “I do not like to eat on an empty

stomach”, that’s my excuse any way! The food was great and one lady baked a special chocolate cake for me which was delicious! More guests came and went and brought gifts of Booze and the night continues in fine fashion until all of the men were pretty drunk and the wives started to drag them away home. I went to bed at a time which did not register in my brain, I knew that I went to bed as I woke up in it so all was well with me! I have at times woke up in some rather unusual places after a good drink with the boys but this time I did good and got to bed!

All in all I had a very enjoyable day as did my friends, I woke up on the 27th about 9.15 am without an hangover so that means that the rest of my life started well! I received over 200 birthday wishes on Face Book, I am glad that they did not all turn up to greet me personally as that would have given the wife a Biblical Task to feed them all!

I enjoyed myself as did the rest so I look forward to more birthdays who’s ever they are!

      Hi Marjorie,
The exchange rate is not too good just now but manageable!
