I have a new feature on the Live in the Philippine Web Magazine, which is be called the “Expat AnswerMan“. With the Expat AnswerMan, you are able to leave a voice mail for me right here on the website! As long as you have a microphone on your computer, you can record the message for me! I will receive this recorded message, and can then respond to your question. I will have a Podcast style show (if you don’t know what a podcast is, it is sort of like a “radio show” except it is on the Internet) where I will receive questions from site readers, and will respond to the questions in audio format!
I hope this will be both fun and informative. I am just getting started on this, so I may not be perfect, but my abilities will improve with doing it, and I think I can do a pretty nice show! I hope so anyway. With your help, I hope to have plenty of questions to answer so that I can feature the Expat Answer Man on a very regular basis here on LiP, and on another site which I hope to be announcing in the near future!
Submitting a Question
Please be courteous when leaving a question. Here are a few guidelines for your question submission:
- Please keep your question to one minute in length or less. If you need to go slightly over a minute, that is OK, but keep it short enough to keep it to the point.
- If you have a website, you are allowed to give your URL one time during your question. For example, you could say “Hi Bob, this is Big Jim from Big Jim’s Philippine Adventure at BigJimsPhilAdventure.com. Today I would like to ask you….”
- Messages left that are Spammy, or disrespectful will not be considered for the podcast, and will simply be deleted.
I am using a service called SpeakPipe.com to pull this voice messaging off. So far, in my testing, it seems to work quite well, and I think you will find it easy to use!
Please note that by leaving a message you are giving me your permission to use the message as part of a podcast and it may be broadcast on any of my websites.
I expect the volume of questions/messages to be quite large, so I will select which questions to answer on the Podcast. Be sure to tune in each week to see if your question is the featured question (and answer) of the week!
I’m looking forward to hearing from you, so click on that button above ask me that question that has been bothering you, anything about life in the Philippines, or making the move to the Philippines!
