I will show you guys most of the inside of our home now. We all like the house a lot. It is spacious even though its a bit smaller than our old house. The thing for this house we noticed every space in the house is useable. With our old house some spaces were not good to use for something. Both houses have vaulted ceilings which we like a lot. The yard is almost equally the same. Lots of room to navigate our 2 vehicles and rooms for our dogs to run too. I still have to rearrange my flowers. Just don’t have the time to do it yet. Some of my orchids were damaged during the transport. But luckily my sister came over here and she knows what to do with it. Thank God my orchids are doing better now.
The backyard is looking good now too. Our barbecue pit was re-done. We did cook and barbecue chickens there already. I am debating if I should have the floor done where our barbecue stands, I am thinking of putting maybe some concrete to it or just pile and arrange nicely some bricks under it. I have to ask the owner though if its okay to do what I want to do. I just don’t want to do some changes without her approval. I don’t want to be in trouble. She had some pebbles all over the backyard right now. Its just not good to have the chairs on top of the pebbles. Also whenever charcoal spills, it really looks so messy at the barbecue place. Just doesn’t look good at all.
We also had a swing near the barbecue. Its a block of wood tidily tied both ends with a rope. My kids enjoy it. It was there when we moved in. I just had my carpenter change the rope because the old rope was getting a bit rotten. Later I want it change to a chain to make it more safe for the kids. My carpenter also put the roof over the barbecue place. We are trying to put the hood for our barbecue for the smoke to get out. The only thing that needs to be done now, our turtles need to have a place to stay like what we had at the other house. I will have that done soon too. The turtles need to be comfy also.
Over at the other house, our landlady was really happy that we took care of her house. She said that her family was really impressed of how we returned the property. It was cleaned and no damaged. She was really sad that we left, because we’ve been good tenants for them. They have lots of units and homes rented out and she wanted me to rent out some of her place. Just can’t do it because the other houses were small. I had some friends that stayed there and were happy too. Its been good 5 years with them.
I’ve posted some photos below of our new house. Hope you guys liked our house.
Cheers!

Wow…what a beautiful house. I notice you dont have bars on the windows for security that a lot of us must use when living in the phil(i call them prison bars) which suggests your house must be in a extremely safe area. I love the high ceilings and your designing skills are fantastic. Is it a naturally cool house or do you need to run the air conditioners most of the time?
Feyma
Hi David L Smith – Yes we do have the bars. It’s in the window, the glass outside the bars was inside. It is hidden with the glass. We felt safe here anyway, not too far from us lives a famous family with a lot of security guards. It’s cooler here but still we need our air conditioners. We like to hang out outside our front door during evening, we have lots of birds on our tree outside. Not much traffic here too. Yes, vaulted ceiling is really great love it too. I like to decorate the old Victorian way. I mix in with traditional style. I like antiques stuff. Not really into modern decorating.
Thank you so much for stopping by. Have a safe New Year to you and your family!

Gourgeous home. Really like the vaulted ceilings and wood shelving and cabinets with the china and antiques. Looks so roomy too. Would you know how much a house like that would cost to buy there? Thanks so much for showing the LIP Family your house. Hope you have wonderful New Years. Also like all the photos of your Christmas Giveaway you have posted on F/B. Thanks for posting them.
Feyma
Hi Randy W. – Thank you very much… The owner were asking Php 8Million before and no takers. I’ve seen houses that’s not as nice as this one we are staying and sold for over 8M. Really I think because of the famous family down the road, that’s why nobody wants to buy it. I’m glad you liked the photos that I posted on my FB account.
Good to see you here again.
Happy New Year to you and family!
Henry
Absolutely beautiful home! I hope I can find such a wonderful place when I eventually retire in the Philippines.
Feyma
Hi Henry – Thank you. Yes, you can find houses like that here. Are you retiring anytime soon? Are you thinking of living here in Davao or somewhere else? Good luck to you.
Happy New Year to you Henry. Take care!

Wow just gorgeous Feyma!
What a great job! It should be in Better Homes and Gardens Mag or something like that.
Just love it. It would even be better to actually be there. Maybe someday we can get a tour!
Happy New Year,

What a lovely home! You and your family are so very fortunate to be able to live in such a place. Certainly a testament to the hard work of both you and Bob.
Feyma

That’s one heck of a christmas tree. Lovely place. It looks comfortable as if you’ve already lived there for some time.
We’ll be moving middle of next month too (staying another 2 years) and your article just makes me more excited about fixing our new place.
Feyma
Hi Macky – Thank you so much. It really helped a lot to moved in slowly. At least we can put away the stuff to the place we wanted it to be.
Good luck on your move. With your creativity you can decorate your house better than I do. Maybe you can swing by at our house when your not super busy.
Happy New Year to you and your family!

If I may be so nosey as to ask what a house rents for of that size?? Very Nice….looks very comfortable.

Hi feyma what a lovely home ,it is always a problem when renting what you can do and what you cant .We have my mother with us in a granny flat that was built in my rear yard just like a small hos around her unit use reallythe deal was she owns half the property and i own the other half this way neither can sell or do anything without consulting the other not that we would sell we have to do all the pathways around her unit as she is 80 and the ground is very uneven and she is scared of taking a tumble so we must get onto that ,anyway it sure lookks like a big house anyway must be nice not haveing to fight with those rotten neibours that you did have it is good to see that your settled now i think the last post bob did you were looking somewhat stressed all the best to you and your family

Feyma
Hi chris – Thank you so much… I hear you, I know what you mean. Good that it worked for you guys. I’m really glad to be away with our old pain in the you know what neighbor. I was really stressed out from looking at houses and the moving. 😉
Thank you so much for stopping here.
Happy New Year!

A very beautiful house Feyma, maybe your former ” neighbors ” kind of did you a favor. From your description and the pics it sounds like you now live in a much more desireable location for raising a family and working from home. You commented that this house is a bit smaller than your former one, to me it looks so big compared to what I have.
Happy New Year to all of you and enjoy your new home. Thanks for being Mrs. Minda-Clause again this year too !
Feyma
Hi Bob – Thank you. You could be right on that. I’m just happy that we moved in to this part of town, its more quiet here. Our oldest son Chris likes to play basketball on our front yard. All in all its really good for us here.
It’s also been a good year for our LIP giveaways. Its really nice knowing those 4 kids. Thank you for your helped also.
You take care Bob and as always good to see you here!
