Wow, I’ve been working with this move for a few months now. Finally its almost done. I will be very happy when everything is settled in here. Gosh, with so much stuff to haul into our new house, I really had headache. Just looking at some of the junk that we have, golly how did I collect all of it. Ha ha ha. I have to send a lot of it to my siblings. Bob and I decided that we want to live our life as simple as possible, which means both us will give up lots of our stuff. I will have a pattern now in my kitchen that stuff that I did not use for a few months, get rid of it. Maybe somebody will put that to good use. But sorry I can’t give up some stuff though. ๐
Every time we move to a new place I always have my siblings hire a truck to load up some of my stuff and take it to GenSan. I have to give away my living room set to my sister. We bought that here in the Philippines. The kids have been using it when they’re watching TV at the play area at our old house. The kids still have a play area at our new house but the owner left her big couch for us to use. So I had it put at the play area here for them to use, plus we have a chair with ottoman that the kids can use too while watching TV or playing XBOX.
I still have lots of stuff to do. I like to decorate. So now I am decorating the house slowly. The good thing is that I have people to help me move stuff. I decorated the kids bedroom and our room first. Now I am decorating our living room, dining room and kitchen.
The outside has to wait. I brought my flowers and orchids that I collected over the years of living here. I will just arrange and plant some to a new pot and it will be good. I left some plants at our old house, the one that would die if you take the pot out from the ground. On some of the plants the roots just went through the pot and to the ground. I would rather leave it there at our old house and the plants will live than taking it out and it will die here. One thing I like at our new house during night time there are lots of birds on our trees outside. So maybe they would like to be on top of some of the plants that we brought here.
Geez, we still have lots of things to do. Finishing up my decorating. I will post some photos later here. Good to post here again. More stories about our move later. Thank you guys for your prayers and kind word. Highly appreciated.
Cheers!

Hi Feyma,
Congrats with your move.
We soon find out what we have got, when we move lol.
I have a simple solution for my move there, sell everything except personal stuff, and start afresh, then i only have to ship a few Balikbayan boxes.
I like to keep my life simple Lol.
Nice to hear you have some birds around your new house, they are relaxing to listen to and watch.
regards,Chas.
Feyma
Hi Chas – Yeah, I would say that’s the best way to go. Good luck to you. Sometimes I wished we did get rid of some of our stuff in the States before and just bought stuff here.
Yes, its really nice to just sit outside and listened to the sounds of the birds.
As always good to see you here.
Take care!
Dan
Hi Feyma
Well..I am sure you are happy this is about done. It looks like in the photo of your new house that you will have some room for your plants and flowers and sure you will take adavantage of that room. I was thinking..(joking) that maybe your relatives like you to move often if you send the excess down their way..My self, I hate to move..and so stuff do not want..give away or throw away…seems some of us humans always collect more than we want or need for some reason…any way…glad you are all done with that big job..sure you will be happy and can take a rest soon…huh?
Feyma
Hi Dan – Yes, We’re almost done unpacking and arranging everything. Yes, I have plenty of room for my plants and orchids. I have to rearrange it after I’m done decorating the inside of the house. My family told me to stop buying stuff too. Pretty soon the houses there in the province will be filled up too. In short no room anymore. ๐ ha ha ha.
I will be really happy when its done.
Thank you for your comment.
Take care!

When we moved the last time to a much larger house, we somehow managed to fill it up right away. Not sure how that happened. ๐
Feyma
Hi Tom N – Ha ha ha… ๐ Easy to fill it up.
Take care!

I can never move, LOL! Just imagine how many trucks I need for the dogs beds, blankets, etc. hehehehehe
Have fun decorating and all, I am sure you are enjoying it.
Feyma
Hi Cheryll Ann – You are correct. My gosh, you would need lots of big trucks just to haul the stuff for the dogs alone. ๐ Ha ha ha… Hey, you had a nice place anyway, no need for you to transfer.
I will have you come over here to our house when I’m about done my decorating.
Thank you so much for stopping by here.
Take care!

Hi feyma ,well thats what i think we will do ,at present we are buying the land on samal and i would like to buy a house in davao so as we have somewhere to stay when we come on holidays but that is onlymy ideas ,my wif and i have sen some properties that we like but the finances are what is holding us back at the moment .properties around the 2.5- 2.9 m peso mark although there is a new estate in mintal that showa some nice proerties at a fair price ,one that i really liked was 3.5 it was a lovely house i could have lived in it straight away i dont know if you do it or not, but if you are able if and when we are ready do you do inspections ,as being in australia it is ok to see photos but you really need someone on the ground and in the know to look at a property before you purchase jsut wondering ,as for the roses my wife tells me there is a blue rose is this correct ?

Rhodora
Feyma, I got a real rabbit here in NY. His name is Teng-Teng (American name when I bought it was “Butterscotch”). I just call him “rabbit”. Eight years old. I don’t know what to do w/ him when I move back home soon, still have to check airlines about it. He’s real cute, very much like a cat around the house, but hopping around & somehow has learned to observe toilet etiquette on his own. (come to think of it I should appreciate him for that feat alone). I just clear & rinse his black tray in the bathroom. I hope I don’t have to leave him behind.
Feyma
Hi Rhodora – Good to hear from you. I hope you can bring along with you your rabbit when you come here to the PI. We used to have a rabbit pet. He died a few months ago. Gee, he likes to eat my nice plants especially the bamboo looking plants. We used to let him come inside the house. We have to watched him closely though, we know our cats wants him dead. Just our cats were the one that’s good on the toilet thing.
Happy to hear from you.
Take care!

I’m sure this time has been stressful for you and Bob but given your old situation the move will be a stress reliever in the end. Enjoy your new found peace and quiet.
Feyma
Hi Mark G. – We are not really that stress with this moved. Thank God. Yes, its really nice to be away from the bad neighbor we had before.
Hey, thank you guys for the prayers and nice thoughts as always. Happy to see you here.
Take care!
