So, you are thinking of moving to the Philippines? That’s great, that is actually what this website is all about. If you want to make the move, there is much to learn to do it right! There is also much to consider.
You must consider what type of visa you will get that will allow you to live in the Philippines. How will you move your things? How long can you stay in the country, based on your visa type? How much money do you need to live comfortably in the Philippines? These questions are just the beginning.
Don’t worry, though, I can help you!
I made the move way back in the year 2000, and I know the ins and outs of doing it.
I have 3 different ways that I can offer to help you:

I can offer you a ton of free information through this website. There are more than 4,000 articles on the site regarding moving to the Philippines, and the lifestyle here. Whichever method you choose, I hope that you have a happy and successful move to and life in the Philippines!
Adam
Hi Bob. I can fully recommend moving to the Philippines.
Very tough for the first few months but well worth it.
Has literally taken me 3-4 years to sort out everything here.
Visas, where to live and so on. Just last week I became a permenant resident here.
Frustrating and challenging at times but way better than Australia. Hopefully this country never becomes like America and Australia where you have to wear a hi-vis jacket just to collect your mail, to stay safe!
MindanaoBob
It does take time to adjust. It is worth the effort fir those who are willing.
willie
Adam,
hi-vis jacket to collect your mail to stay safe? I hope thats hyperbole. Have you ever lived in the U.S Adam or are you refferring to Australia?
Adam
Lived in Australia for 39 years. Was over exaggerating slightly in regards to the hi-vis jacket, but nearly all workers wear them now and everything there is about safety, safety, safety.
Similar in America I hear from Americans living here

I have been enjoying the paperback book version of ” How To Move To The Philippines Manual “. Although it is not being marketed as a ” Tourist ” or ” Visitor ” book, there is a lot of useful information in it that could apply.
E books are nice but there are times I prefer the real thing. Read it anywhere and no need to worry about a ” Lo Batt ” condition.
Many thanks for making a printed version available Bob.
MindanaoBob
Thanks for your “review” Bob.. always appreciated!
Steve
Bob, Did you receive my question about the manual? It was asking if the eBook can be read on a laptop or needs a special eBook Reader.
MindanaoBob
Hi Steve, this is the first time I’ve received that question. The book can be read on any type of computer as long as it can read a PDF file. Anything with Adobe Reader can do that. I hope this helps. Thank you.
Roy
Hi Bob,
I paid for the eBook version. Will I get a link for a download?
